Marvel and Star Wars.com just announced for august the comic book Cassian K2SO that off course takes place before the event of Rogue One. After would be hard.... 

A 40 pages comic that will show us how they met and how Cassian reprogrammed K2. We can expect spy stories and rebel fights. Should be nice 

Hopefully we can get to know more on how hard it is to rally the groups into the larger Rebellion that we first saw in Rogue One.

New Kylo Ren Tie Fighter. Mix of Tie Advanced and Tie interceptor

Hello LAST JEDI Fans.

A new Hot Weels toy release created a Spoiler (...on purpose??...) of the new Kylo Ren starfighter that we should see in the LAST JEDI .

We can not see it fully but it seems to me the perfect mix between Tie Advanced (Darth Vader ship) and Tie interceptor (powerfull 4 laser canon ). Off course it will probably features hyperdrive and shields.

I like it much better than the Shuttle we see in TFA. It looks like that Kylo will go first person in dog fight and get dirty. Let see if he equls is gran-father in space fights. (have a look to Star Wars Rebels S02E01 if you want to see what Vader could do ! )

I hope that we are going to see Ben really use the fighter not only to fly around but really to fight with it.

I have a very cool news to share !

Everybody was exited to see also Gregor and Wolffe along with Rex in Star Wars Rebels Season 2 but we were just after disappointed because it was not really clear why only Rex followed the Ghost crew.

Most probably because of the involvement of Ashoka that motivated Rex to come back. The others preferred to avoid having to fight again ...

But NOW at Star Wars celebration Dave Filoni himself explained clearly that we will see them again in Season 4.

Star wars Battlefront II: Best EA game ever ?

Hello everyone.

Watching the "Star Wars Battlefront II" panel at Celebration Orlando 2017 was very interesting.

The games looks really gorgeous and it seems it has accomplished a real step forward respect to the first release.

But first have a look to the trailer if you did not  because it will live you speechless ! TRAILER

Some Facts : 

FACT 1: The single player campaign is CANON. It will take place between Return of the Jedi and the Force Awakens

FACT 2 : This is the Imperial point of view. In this campaign we will follow the leader of Inferno Squadron. Yes, that means that it is the Imperial trooper point of view.

The game makes you be the leader of that squad: A female Commander.

How an Elite trooper like that react to the major Endor battle defeat? What is it to be part of an army that passed from leading the galaxy to fighting for survival against an ever growing rebellion?

FACT 3 : Inferno Squad is not new! It was announced that a novel, from Christie Golden, featuring this squadron (and actually the main character of Battlefront II) is already planned for July. (see my early announcement article on that book here). The Inferno squad is an Elite trooper unit for both ground assaults and Space strikes.

FACT 4 : Multiplayer mode stays a very important feature and is further improved. It will be playable in every Star Wars era including The Last Jedi.

Episode 7 The Last Jedi Poster. Why such a RED LUKE ?

Here is a Poster that has been shown during Celebration Orlando. The style is clearly a old fashion similar to the New Hope Poster. 

But for me the poster raises some questions: 

One above all : Why Luke is fully RED? This is a typical color of the dark side. Will he fall to the Dark Side. Sounds incredible to me but on the Poster there is no differences between Ben Solo and Luke Skywalker. Even the end of the light blade is red...

It seems that Like Episode V of the Originals, Episode 8 : The Last Jedi will be very dark. 

The title, the poster, the words of Luke at the end of the trailer it is all very negative.

Important News!!! Star wars Lucasfilm just announced new animated series focusing on heroines : Rey Leia Maz and Jyn.

It will feature also important characters like Ashoka Hera and Anakin.

THAT is very exiting. Especially to get more back stories of Maz and Rey!

The voice actors are the ones from original film or previous animated series what is making it pretty authentic. Daisy Rodley, Felicity Jones for example and also Ashley Eckstein as Ahsoka Tano, Matt Lanter as Anakin Skywalker, Tiya Sircar as Sabine Wren, and Vanessa Marhsall as Hera Syndulla.

And all under the supervision of Dave Felloni! (Clone Wars, Rebels)

STAR WARS: Clone Wars (2003 COMPLETE)

This is just awesome ! 



I did not know about this serie creaated in 2003 and I find the tone and the animation very rough in a positive way. WAR, that is real WAR.



Warning : Even if the event could be ok from a time line int of view (Except for the story of Ventress) this show is not cannon. In there, there are a lot of characters, ideas and locations that are really interesting. For example, Grevious is amazing and looks far more impressive and lethal than in the latter Clone Wars 3D serie of 2008. Another example is the attack of Coruscant that is something everybody wanted to see in the movies.



I think that Dave Felloni picked up huge inspiration in there for the 6 seasons of his show. An example here is the relationship Anakin / Obiwan and the roots of the dark Side that we can already see in Anakin.

New Novel to come: Star Wars Inferno Squad = the Empire strikes back !

Hello Star Wars Fans.

On February 17th, Starwars.com published the news that a new novel will come in July 25th about an Elite Imperial Squad called the Inferno Squad. The event will take place after Rogue One and ANH.

The Squad will have to exterminate the remaining team of Saw Gerrera's fighters... It looks like that the Empire want to Strike back !

I do not expect to see any of the known heroes involved but It could very interesting. Especially if it written in the Empire's point of view. (like the Tarkin Novel for example)

I fear that it is some kind of filler novel. But do not hesitate to correct me if I am wrong. I am also a bit surprised because this period of time between ANH and ESB is already very much described in the comic books.

Question: Is the Inferno Squad the same squad that was introduced in the Star Wars #21 comic book ? At least this would create some links to other stories.

Anyway I do not think so because the 7 Elite Stormtroopers are led by Kreel that during the event of Inferno Squad is probably still infiltrating Nar Shaada and the Hutt.

Let see ? What do you expect ?

I am a fan of the Prequels - PART 1

Hello to all 

In this article I will probably be unpopular because, yes, I am a fan of the prequels too. 

Oh no I will not say that they are perfect or better than the orginal trilogy but I am still a fan of the Prequels (+Clone Wars serie) and I will try to express you why : 

• The Story: 

First of all it is clear for me that there is no way to compare the story of the episode 4 to 6 versus 1 to 3 because the general scopes of the 2 trilogies are totaly different . 

4 to 6: the story of a group of rebel fighting to liberate the galaxy with heroic actions. It focuses on hope, a fellowship of heroes, sacrifices to the cause.

1 to 3: the description of the slow drift of an established galactic society to its own destruction. It focuses on corrupted democracy, political conspiration, greed and the raise of an hidden enemy.

So if we compare them one to one in term of action sequences, relation between the characters or well established good vs bad fight it is not fitting! And to my mind this is one of the reason why most of the fan grown up with Luke and Leia's adventures were disappointed. 

The originals have been created in order to tell the story of a modern Myth (as explained by Lucas himself) in order to express the values of the hero's journey. A renewed myth that could help young people to grow up and identify themselves to! For example, think how many people admitted that Leia's was a model for them and inspired their life.

The prequels are telling a story of society very similar to the developed countries on earth and the risk of fall of democracies due to corruption, hidden scopes, quest of power from few people in disregards to the good of the citizens as a whole. The scope here is to show the viewers what can happen to a society not "Far Far away" but just near to us in our countries ! 

Lucas is above all a story teller  and his view was not only the entertainment but also somehow to open eyes of the public and make them think of how they can behave in their life and in the society in a better way by identifying to the characters and stories of the saga.

In summary : prequels and orginals are not to be compared because they are complimentary !

• The Universe: 

This is the strong point of the prequels, the 3 films enlarge the universe extremely in terms of worlds, species, categories (clones, bounty Hunters, numerous Jedi, politicians...) and characters. All of them have a back story that can be told and a present that set ideas for expansions for the future of the StarWars aventures. 

Off course it is important to add to the Prequels the 120 episodes of the Clone Wars animated show that explored all these stories. 

Now if you see the new cannon, nearly each novel (Tarkin, A New Dawn, Rogue one Catalyst ...), each comic series (Darth Maul, Anakin and Obiwan, Darth Vader, Young Yoda ...) and Animated Serie Rebels are taking source and develop the society, the characters or the worlds of the prequels. 

For sure the prequels are more dispersive than the episode 4 to 6 that focus on the few key characters but it makes the 3 films extremely rich. Again I take the liberty to include the Animated Serie in this analysis because it brings much more details on each characters in a way that the 3 films could not dodue to the limited time. 

• The characters:

Palpatine: For me, the whole story development of Palpatine and his galaxy scaled plot to become the emperor makes him the biggest villain of all time in Sci-Fi. So I really like the way he manipulate s all the people and federations arounds him hidding his identity to the Jedi. (I recommend to read the Tarkin Novel to know more about him)

Obiwan: He his the character we most link to in the prequel and he is great in showing the true values of the Jedi Order. He shows integrity and he his not yet corrupted as the rest of the Jedi Council that slowly loose their original ways. 

Best Jedi ever. 

Anakin: The prequels and the originals are linked by him, as we all know films 1 to 6 are his story. 

Even if I truly find that the Love Story with Padme is not shown in a very emotional way, it is fundamental to understand the fall to fear, hate, anger and suffering.

Also here, the Clone Wars animated serie is bringing up the character to a very high level showing how very complex Anakin is, how strong he is afraid of loosing Padme and how he can become mad due to jealousy. 

But we see him also as a master and the way he cares about Ashoka like a father to her is really great. He is teaching her like Obiwan would do but with just the more freedom he wanted for him. And actually Ashoka becomes one of the best Jedi ever due to the teaching of Anakin. Her character is perfectly balanced between the wise ways of the Jedi and the self confidence and liberty needed to overcome situations and grow further in the Force.  

We see also his sense of leadership and sacrifice in each episode and his dedication to helping those in danger. But roots of the dark side are present and he can explode any second if he is pushed to the limit. 

Well that is it for now. PART 2 will discuss on the other aspects like the CGI, the lightsaber fights... ...

My Rey Skywalker Theory! Kylo Ren saved her!

Hello everybody

After more than one year since release of the Force Awakens and the just announced title of Episode8: The Last Jedi , I finally put together My theory about Rey's origins.

To my point of view Rey is simply Luke's Daughter. 

My arguments :

1. The age is compatible : this seems obvious but it is necessary ! Luke is born 19 BBY and Rey 15 ABY. That means that Luke was 34 when she is born and this fits. 
2. The Skywalker theme: In TFA the Luke Skywalker music theme from ANH is use when Rey takes into the fight with Kylo Ren and accept the Lightsaber heritage ? This cannot be a coincidence that the same music theme is used there. Especially because in TFA we have during the whole movie new music themes. This is the one moment with the recall from the theme of the farm boy. Just listen to the music of the 2 events of pictures bellow.
   
   
   
   
3. The Vision that starts with the corridor of the confrontation Vader(Anakin) and Luke. Why this location? Why not the death Star tower at the end of ROTJ ? Because it is where Darth Vader reveals that he is Luke's father. So Rey receives hints of her family : Grand father and Father.
   
4. The Maz sentence about the heritage of the Light sabre. 

"That lightsaber was Luke's. And his father's before him and now, it calls to you!"

These things are basically making the theory very obvious! Someone would say too obvious!

And off course the question everybody has is : why did Luke abandoned Rey on Jakku to a horrible guy like Unkar Plut?

Weel to my mind it is simply because it is not Luke but ... Kylo Ren who has hidden Rey on the junk yard planet!. 

Thanks to the Bloodline Novel we can calculate that Kylo Ren (= Ben Solo) is bored 5years ABY. It means he is ten years older than Rey. In Rey's vision we see her being left on the desert planet at the age of around 6 or 7, That would make Kylo Ren being 18 and this makes it possible!

Why he would do that ?   

Here bellow some arguments:

1. The pull to the Light males him save her !

It is known that due to the influence of Snoke among other things, Ben Solo turns to the dark Side and destroys the Jedi apprentices of Luke. In the vision we see Kylo Ren in the middle of the massacre (this is definitely before TFA because he has his mask that is being destroyed on Starkiller base). The age of Ben would be around 18 years old that fit (Anakin turned Darth Vader at this age).

BUT we also see that he saves Rey from the massacre by killing one of his acolytes! Most probably he saved the young Rey at this point! Why ? Because for a moment he has been pulled to the Light.

In TFA, when Kylo is confronted with his past coming back (in the form of his father) he is pulled to the light. He needs to force himself back to the dark side. And he says that it is not the first time.

"Forgive me. I feel it again. The pull to the light."

So my theory is that during the destruction of Luke's academy, Kylo Ren could not kill the girl and he secretly took her away and abandoned her on Jakku probably in order to hide her from Snoke! (We see Kylo walking toward her to take her in the Vision).

Rey screams at the Ship "Come back !". So no indication that actually her parents left her.

2. Kylo knows that there is a powerful girl on Jakku !

An other clue is the crazy reaction Kylo has when he hears that a Girl helped in the escape of BB-8 from Jakku ! It can be because he knows that there is a girl with a great potential on this planet.

Last but not least, in the TFA novel, when Rey grad the Lightsaber from the snow, Kylo murmured "It is you ...!". So he recognizes her. Basically he knows her from the past.

3. Kylo made her forget with a mind trick!

On the Contrary, Rey says in TFA that she thought Luke Skywalker was only a myth. So this would indicate that she does not know him.

Kylo Ren seems to have very good mind tricks abilities: to take informations form the mind, to turn someone asleep and probably others.
It could be that Kylo managed to manipulate her mind in order to make her forget her past. He would do that in order to avoid that she tries to find him, seek revenge or become a threat to the First Order. An argument that support that is the fact that she does not seems to know that she is a force wielder.

That would explain also why she learns so fast how to use the force. Because her memories are coming back.

4. Luke thinks she is dead.

And what about Luke? I think that Luke what actually not present during the massacre and arrives too late. Think about how desperate he his in the scene that shows him on the ground near R2. We can expect that if he does not find the girl he probably concludes that she has been killed together with the other padawans. This is a further cause of his exile!

Well, that is it. This is what I expect. However I am also very very interesting in alternative speculations like for example the Palpatine bloodline ! Very nice theory to !

I also know that a lot of people are hopping that she is not Luke's daughter because they would like to have a bigger surprise! I can sure understand that. Let see.

2 New Novels about Rogue One Characters Jyn, Chirrut and Baze

Hello everyone.

Starwars.com just announced 2 new Novels for May 2 that will explore the characters from Rogue One.


First one is "Rebel Rising" (written by Beth Revis) about Jyn Erso during her years as a rebel fighter alongside Saw Gerrera.

This can be very interesting to learn much more about her and how she learned to Fight and to pilot. As well as to new how far she got involved in the extreme manners of the Rebel Saw.

Concerning Saw, I am very attracted by his story after the loss of his sister.

Second Novel . "Guardians of the Whills" (written by Greg Rueka) will focus on Chirrut and Baze aventures while trying to defend Jeddha and the temple after the arrival of the Empire and Saw Gerrera.

It can be interesting to learn about who are the guardians and what are there values.

Star Wars Rebels: Jedi Knight Kanan most impressive force usage since the beginning of the show!

Hello Rebel Fans !

for sure you have all see the double episode "Ghosts of Geonosis". There is a lot to say about that episode.
For today I picked up some comments on Kanan and Ezra connection and usage of the Force.

Kanan Jarus made one of the most impressive force usage since the beginning of the Serie! We see him perfoms 3 noticeable actions in a raw: first he force pushes Ezra to the other side of the enormous pit, then he controls and hold still for a long moment a stone bridge to get Saw and Rex through the pit and last but not least. even if he seems tired, he performs an incredible force jump.

It seems that since the acceptance of the blindness Kanan is taking advantage of his injuries in a sense that he is forced to always be one with the force to see and understand the environment. This is inspired to the real mechanism of the fact that people lacking a sense are enhancing the others!

These 3 actions are really impressive and he reminds what Anakin was able to do nearly each battles during the Clone Wars. Actually Rex brings the comparison. Very nice easter egg from the authors indeed!
So I am very exciting to see how far Kanan will be able to learn and control the Force !


Ezra Bridge instead is acting on the opposite. First of all, he sure needs the help of his master to cross the pit and when he is chasing the Geonosian he acts like a youngling simply forgetting to rely on the force. Only when he loses "Clit Clat" he realises that he needs to concentrate.
Ezra still has a long way and much concentrate on his training. He will need it in order to face Thrawn and perhaps Maul again.

Side note on Rex joke: Why does he says: "he is not A Skywalker" ?. Rex knows only one Skywalker who is/was Anakin. Luke and Leia are still unknown. It seems that Rex assumes there could be other Skywalker.... Why that ?? Do you guys have an explanation ?

The Art of Rogue One: Incredible art work for Jedha

I just found this artwork from Jedha. It is study that you can find in the book The Art of Rogue One.

I did not yet write any article about Rogue One but this picture of Jedha is really brilliant and this would have be gorgeous to see in the movie. You can really feel the oppression of the Empire on this picture: The Star Destroyer "sucking" life and energy of the city through these tubes, iconic Tie Fighters flying around, the fire and smoke showing devastation, this AT-ST controlling this long line of prisoners, refugees or pilgrims... This page alone shows what can do the Empire to any workld of the galaxy. It helps understand the motivations of the rebellion.
It is always hard to show this in the Films and Rogue One could have done much more on this aspect.

I think this book is worth a look !

New Mobile game: Star Wars Arena. Let us Fight with our Heroes !

Netmarble Games and Lucasfilm have released yesterday a new mobile game in the Star Wars Universe : Star Wars Arena. (App Store and Google Play).

I installed it today and I have to say that it is quite hard to stop playing !
You can control ALL your favorite characters and fight in an "arena" a sort of "capture flag" game. 

That is fluid, good graphics and entertaining ! 

The character panel is very large: films, tv series and even comic books with for example fan Favorite Doc. Aphra ! 

You have to build your squad and upgrade your team and then you can fight player versus player real time. 

Each battle is different because you have a real live opponent that reacts differently in every battle.

Star Wars Rebels Mid-season 3 Trailer: 4 Huge connections to Rogue One !

THis is really amazing the quantity of content we see in this trailer. First I will shortly talk about the connections to Rogue One :

1. The search for the Imperial new weapon, the death Star: 
the opening episode featuring Saw Gerrera will be based on Geonosis. Saw on our rebels are trying to understand what the Empire has to done on the planet. They will probably get some first clues of the creation of a super weapon. (see an other related article here)

2. The death troopers: Grand Admiral Thrawn seems to have like Krennic his own guard of these elite troopers.

Star Wars Rebels next January releases are very existing!

Episode 10-11

First a double episode based on Geonosis. We got to see the following clip where we can see Saw Gerrera meet with Rex, Kannan and Ezra. Saw and Rex recognise themselves and that is making again a nice connection to the clone wars animated series. 

It says here above that the ghost crew searches for a missing rebel team. Rex leads the recognition as he knows the terrain. The rebel group is Saw's, but he seems the only survivor....
