Episode 10-11
First a double episode based on Geonosis. We got to see the following clip where we can see Saw Gerrera meet with Rex, Kannan and Ezra. Saw and Rex recognise themselves and that is making again a nice connection to the clone wars animated series.
It says here above that the ghost crew searches for a missing rebel team. Rex leads the recognition as he knows the terrain. The rebel group is Saw's, but he seems the only survivor....
Now what we will they find? From the previous season we know that Geonosis has now no life forms (even if Darth Vader finds a remaining queens years later). We know from Catalyst book (see my review here) that the Death Star has started its assembly in orbit of Geonosis with geonosians bugs as workforce. So could they find some traces of the construction work? They will probably not be able to understand what they find.
I hope that we will also get a clue on why all the planet population was wiped out. My hypothesis is that the Empire wanted to keep the secret of the Death Star (like the legend that the Egyptians were killing the constructors of the pyramids). The title of the episode "ghosts of geonosis" can indicate that the team will find some elements of the mass extinction.
In the clip we also see that Saw seems to have his 2 legs. In Rogue one he has 2 mechanical implants and walks with difficulties. Will he loose his legs during these events in Geonosis? Probably it is to heavy for this show right..... ?
Anyway as this is a double episode so a lot will happen! This will probably add a lot the connection of the rebels to the Death Star story and the formation of the rebel alliance. Cannot wait to see it!
Episode 12
This episode may indicate the end of Chopper Base if that probe manage to transmit the info to the Empire. We know from Rogue one that the ghost will join the Yavin IV base so it could be the moment.
